Rumors of the impending iPhone 5S release and the possibility of an iPhone 6 are still buzzing and contradicting one another. All the hype can be confusing for some, while making savvy users wonder if they should buy premium covers or a skin for their iPhone 4S or 5, as its features will be significantly improved by the release of the iOS 7 interface, or if they should hold out for the new models.
Originally, many bloggers and experts from the tech circles believed that the release of new upgraded models would come in July. But when Apple limited their information to items surrounding the unveiling of the hotly awaited iOS 7 at this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June, many deduced that the unveiling of new iPhones would happen in the fall.
So now the rumors focus on the new features and even span as far out as the iPhone 6, which some have dubbed “the iPhone Light.” It’s implied that the next iteration of Apple’s Smartphone would be less expensive, and that it may be released early next year. But the massive markdowns on the iPhone 4S and 5, as well as premium covers and skins, are leading Apple fans to believe they may not have to wait that long to get their hands on a new device. In the past, such significant markdowns meant only one thing—a major upgrade was on the horizon.
Yet would Apple announce the release date of its flagship model before iOS 7 is officially launched? The initial iOS 7 beta for the iPhone only came out in June, and just the iPhone version. If Apple was focusing more on the interface itself, wouldn’t they have released the beta version for the iPad as well? Hopefully, we’ll all have to wait with baited breath and hold onto our premium iPhone covers just a little bit longer.
